Akram already started acting at a young age. Currently, since 2013 he attends a theatre focussed high school.
Akram played in several theatre productions in Rotterdam.
In 2019 he plays the lead role in one the television film series CENTRAL. Central is a drama series that consists of six episodes of 45 minutes, which are connected by a single location: Rotterdam Central Station. Akram plays the role of Kamal in KHATA. The television film is slated to come out in the fall of 2019.
